focuses of the SCOHPICA project are the intent to stay in the profession and the career trajectories of healthcare professionals. In this talk, we will present recent developments in the study of these issues. First, we propose a comprehensive model that explains how a range of factors influence the intent to stay in the profession for nursing staff, and how it can be extended to other care professions. Second, we explore data on employment histories collected within the SCOHPICA project by revealing a typology of career trajectories among healthcare professionals in Switzerland, and characterizing the types thus identified. These insights are critical to sustaining a well-staffed and satisfied health workforce. In this talk, we will explore in more detail the socio-professional data gathered and investigate their relationship with well-being and turnover intention. We will also examine how various factors such as workload, available resources, meaning of work, burnout or recognition at work, among others, are associated with professionals\u2019 intention to stay in the profession and well-being.
